We are experts in public policy, service design, behavioural insight and election research, employing over 700 people globally. Our clients span all continents and include both national and local governments and supra-national organisations such as the European Institutions, World Bank and the UN.

At the Brussels office, our work focuses on four strands of work:

• Data and evidence which often comes from large scale multi-country public opinion surveys, such as the standard Euro barometer.
• Policy development and evaluation to support clients across the policy cycle, from needs assessment and formative research through to full-service programme evaluation
• Behavioural insights and communications to identify population segments to undertake targeted, effective interventions and communications and crucially, address the gap between intentions and actions.
• Political advisory to understand public opinion and voting intention polling

Your responsibilities

As a trainee you will be involved in the full life cycle of research projects, from design to data control and reporting. Besides this some of your main tasks would be:

• Supporting on the project management; including collaborating closely with suppliers, partners, team members and clients;
• Supporting on the development of data collection tools; including questionnaires, discussion guides, mapping templates
• Undertaking data collection; including interviews, case studies, desk research
• Supporting on qualitative and quantitative data analysis
• Contributing to the drafting of reports
• Supporting on business development by making supervised contributions to tender writing

Your profile

We are looking for a graduate with a curious and analytical approach and who is interested in both research and social / political issues.

You would need to:

• Have a completed university degree;
• Be proficient in English, both written and spoken – any other European language is an additional asset;
• Understanding of / or experience with survey / research methods;
• Capacity to use SPSS would be an asset;
• Be used to working both as part of a team and on your own;
• Show pro-activeness and ownership of task;
• Be used to multi-tasking and to prioritising tasks autonomously;
• Be solution oriented;
• Have the unlimited right to work in the EU (in time and otherwise – this should not be linked to the duration of your studies)
