Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Consumer Health business to create a new publicly traded company. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 24 months, and it will be subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as required, and other customary conditions and approvals.   

It is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, this position may be conveyed with New Consumer Health. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to the successful candidate by New Consumer Health at an appropriate time and would be subject to any necessary consultation processes.  

The Treasury Operations Director Belgium is responsible for leading a best-in-class Treasury Services team ensuring the flawless execution and continuous improvement of treasury operations related to the Global Payment Factory activities and bank statement centralization and processing.

The Treasury Operations Director is also in charge of daily management and reconciliation of bank accounting transaction activity; ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements associated with New Consumer Health Company’s (NCHC) various payment programs. The role includes partnering with Global Services and other internal stakeholders to stand up new business processes related to new product offerings and enhancements.

The position includes the following key responsibilities:  

• Manage the Global Payment Factory and leverage SWIFT bank connectivity infrastructure for the global commercial and financial settlements in the following areas: 
• Cross border supplier payments
• In-country supplier payments
• travel & expense (T&E) settlements
• Run outside-US in-house bank current account structure for affiliates in support of global cash management functions 
• Work with business partners to centralize, manage process and settle all T&E expense notes and account payable
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of commercial payments and adhering to payment cut off times
• Ensure all payments that have been released have been acknowledged by SWIFT with any exceptions advised to the relevant business unit
• Responsible for Transactional and General Accounting for the Treasury activities of all global affiliates (sub ledger principle) 
  

The Treasury Operations Director will report to the Senior Director Treasury Operations. The position will have significant interactions with both internal and external counterparties: 

• Internal: Tax, Consolidations, Legal, Finance, HR, IT, Requisition to Pay, Travel & Expenses, Accounts Receivable, and Accounting
• External: professional accounting and taxation firms, and consultants
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business  
• Experience with SWIFT connectivity & SAP Finance/Treasury modules
• Strong financial acumen 
• Good people management skills 
• Ability to adapt and lead in a changing environment 
• Analytical and problem-solving skills (must be able to reason through complex and various business and legal scenarios and structures and provide meaningful feedback for decision making) 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (including ability to interact with all levels of management within and outside of finance) 
• Fluent in English as a minimum 
• Minimum of 10 years of experience
  

Preferred Requirements/Competencies

• Knowledge of banking, cash management, and accounting 
• Strong knowledge of payment processing, payment formats, risk management and banking relationships 
• Experience with Treasury Management Systems  
• MBA or other business/accounting master’s degree
