Job Description & Summary

We guide. We support. You grow.

We are looking for a highly motivated and creative experience designer to join our growing customer team. But before we get into how you could be part of this, let’s first introduce you to our way of working and our team.

Our BXT philosophy

BX what? BXT. It stands for Business + eXperience + Technology. It’s how we combine business expertise, a human-centred approach to problem-solving and technological know-how to change the conversation.

  • Business = How we build value

  • eXperience = What people will remember

  • Technology = How we make it real

This is a very powerful philosophy, as it enables you to use your UX design skills to create high impact solutions.

Customer team

A lot of our work is about customer experience (the ‘X’ in BXT). We have a razor-sharp focus on design-thinking methodologies, and apply a trusted UX design process from strategy to execution: think-vision workshops, user research, design sprints, prototyping and much more.

We always work closely together with our PwC business and technology experts. This means constant on-the-job learning and skills development.

New way of working

We have a new way of working in the post-pandemic world. We are flexible where we work, based on the demands of the job at hand: with the client when direct contact is needed, at home for heads-down productive work, in the office to collaborate with teams - and last but not least in our Experience Center.

The PwC Experience Center is a space of innovation and co-creation where we work on various stages of design and engage with project teams, client stakeholders and end users. It’s unlike any space you have ever worked in, so make sure to check out the 360° tour . And it becomes even better: we’re building a brand new one in our new offices, ready by January 2022!

What you’ll learn and do

User research

Most project teams don’t do enough user research. We do, and we involve everyone in our research. That’s because we believe that user research is not the responsibility of the designer alone, but of the whole team. When we say research, we mean:

  • Interactive customer and stakeholder interviews

  • Field studies, which can take many forms (like observations, diary studies, etc)

  • Data research

Co-creation

We believe in the superpowers of teamwork and are big fans of co-creation activities like:

  • Vision and strategy workshops

  • Co-creation and design workshops

  • Customer journey mapping, experience mapping, service blueprinting

  • Value map and roadmap building

Design

Design is not how it looks, it’s how it works (a famous entrepreneur once said that, we assume you know who). Don’t misunderstand us, we love things that are beautifully designed, but it needs to be part of a sound design process. These are typical activities you’ll be involved in:

  • Storyboarding

  • PoC design

  • Design sprints

  • User testing

  • Storytelling

Methodology

We finetune and improve our way of working every day, so we will also expect you to:

  • Continuously improve our UX and service design approach, methodology, toolkit and playbook

  • Bring experience design into digital transformation projects

  • Contribute to BXT sales opportunities

Team

To get all these things done you’ll be working with an experienced team where you will be able to learn, grow and also peer-coach your colleagues with your own knowledge and expertise.

Who you are

  • At least two years of experience in service design, UX design or customer experience management

  • Workshop design and facilitation skills

  • You are bilingual Dutch/English or French/English

  • What else? A positive and open mindset, a drive to solve problems, a go-getter mentality and the will to make a difference.

  • Showing that you care about your team and your clients, being curious about human behaviour and excited about technology will bring you rewards.

What we offer
