Make your mark for patients

To strengthen our Global Supply Chain Team, we are looking for a high caliber, self-motivated, Vendor Manager – External Packaging & Distribution based in Braine l’Alleud, Belgium

You like to work in an environment where you will:

  • Manage and implement complex and strategic projects considering the dynamic business evolution and specific clinical trial needs
  • Manage current vendors as per UCB governance model and through KPI performance adherence
  • Manage operational and tactical KPI’s for Vendor Management
  • Understand study forecasts to drive network strategy
  • Act as point of contact for vendors and ensure any concerns/issues/deviations/complaints are addressed and action plans are defined. Lead the action plan to make sure all actions are fulfilled considering the sense of urgency and escalating issues when needed.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for inspections / audits;
  • Own and manage compliance records on trackwise to support Vendor related events and compliance improvements (change controls, CAPAs, etc.)
  • Control financial aspects such as quotation, purchase orders and invoices to and from Vendors, but also manage accruals and projection of the future spend according to the evolution of clinical studies
  • Analyze quarterly financial expenditure for the studies comapring to budget in order to support management decisions or escalations
  • Ensure new studies are correctly setup at the vendors to ensure on time study start and ensure capacity is available for the duration of the study

Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience and skills:

  • Experience with vendor management
  • Knowledge of Clinical Trial packaging and distribution practices
  • Preferable Knowledge in the “Interactive Voice Response (IVRS) system” for Clinical Trials
  • Understanding of capacity, resource and financial management
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Analytical mindset (Structured and Organized) – analyze data & find insights
  • Critical but constructive mindset
  • Self-leadership & motivation
  • Collaborator in cross functional and international settings
  • Flexible and team player
  • Ability to work without direct supervision and manage multiple tasks
  • Systems proficiency (SAP, MS Office)
