Your role & work environment
ING Transportation, Logistics & Automotive Belgium is a recognized leader in arranging, originating and structuring financing transactions in the international T&L sector. The sector is focussing on a wide range of clients in the Transport & Logistics, Automotive, Container, Rail, Aviation and Shipping sector. The team consists of 6 people in Belgium working closely with our sector colleagues in Amsterdam, London, Frankfurt and Singapore. You will be part of the virtual, international deal teams for new and existing transactions.
Wholesale banking Belgium offers a broad range of products and financial services via sector teams to large corporates and financial institutions in Belgium, Europe, the Americas and Asia. Together with our stakeholders, we provide our clients with tailor-made advice and solutions in the area’s of core lending products (corporate lending, structured finance, lease, factoring, working capital solutions), core flow products (payments & cash management, trade financial services, financial markets) and strategic products (M&A, equity capital markets, debt capital markets, financial markets). Our ambition is clear and straightforward : we go for primary relationships !
Your key responsibilities
- You are expected to lead the origination and execution of structured and corporate transactions with support of lending colleagues and advisory teams such as Loan Capital Markets, Capital Structuring & Advisory, Debt Capital Markets
- You will act as a senior relationship manager and have strategic dialogues with customers in your portfolio up to CFO, CEO and board member level
- You will be the central point of contact for your clients; companies with a turnover as of 250 mio € or stock listed
- You will ensure good quality of credit and credit approval process and maintain your client portfolio in accordance with ING policies
- You aim to grow the overall revenues and ROE of your portfolio
- You will originate proactively new profitable business and further identify cross-buy opportunities within your client portfolio
- You will liaise closely with the Sector Head and interact with all ING stakeholders (Risk, Legal, Products, etc)
- You will develop international business with clients’ subsidiaries
- You will ensure relevant client reporting

- has advanced product knowledge in most Wholesale Banking products
And you have as well…
- an academic degree and/or MBA in economics, law or comparable
- minimum 5 years of work experience in sales / deal making
- experience in structuring loan transactions and credit analysis
- experience in both flow and strategic banking products
- excellent oral and written skills, in English, French and Dutch
