Job Description

We are looking for a Data Analyst who will support the Data Analysis team in the Wind Asset Management team with the advanced performance analysis of our onshore wind fleet. The candidate will use large data sets of both measurement and event data in order to find underperformances at machine level and make these insightful for the Asset Managers in dashboards or reports.

The ideal candidate has a strong experience in the wind sector, good programming knowledge and knows how to report their findings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Integrate data from SCADA systems into 2nd level SCADA Bazefield
  • Follow up on communication issues in the wind turbine networks
  • Develop tools to follow the performance of the wind turbines
  • Develop dashboards and reports to meet internal stakeholders needs
  • Provide support to the asset managers to use the 2nd level SCADA in an efficient way
  • Make data and analysis pipelines of existing reporting more robust
  • Backup of the Wind Data Lead during monthly KPI analysis
Requirements
  • Master in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field
  • Experience with programming using Python in a professional environment.
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Experience in the wind sector and understanding of SCADA architectures and protocols (OPC DA, OPC UA, IEC61850 … ; data flow structures, historical data archiving methods, tags structure and alarms structure …)
  • Experience using computer/programming languages (Python, SQL …) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
  • Experience with web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and automation (scheduled Python jobs, Rest API, Postman/browser developer tools; Microsoft Power Automate)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Knowledge of French and/or Dutch is a plus
  • Project management mindset and skills
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques is a strong plus
  • Experience with dashboarding tools (Dash, Qlik, Power BI …) is a plus
  • Experience with AWS is a plus
