2x Java Developer (Full Stack, Back End) – Public Sector (Environmental Regulation) – Aalst - Freelance

For our client in the public sector, we are looking for 2 Full Stack Java Developer (1 Medior, 1 Senior) to join for a long term, freelance mission.

You’ll be building and maintaining their web applications in the context of Java and working on several implementation projects to replace their legacy applications.

The Senior, Full-Stack Profile will take over the implicit lead, working in tandem with the architect and project manager, whilst the Medior Back-End profile will be more focused on hands-on development.

The Role

•You will be part of an agile team, along with a product owner, scrum master, QAs and other developers to deliver value increment using a scrum approach.

•You will actively contribute to the solution based on user stories along with the team.

•You will maintain or increase the quality of the application by applying the right set of coding patterns, best practices, and test automation.

•Implementing and maintaining databases (SQL or NoSQL) for storing application data.

•Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.

•Conducting thorough testing and debugging to ensure the quality and performance of applications.

Requirements

•You are a back end or full stack software engineer experienced in web development technologies. Their stack is based on Spring Boot, Hibernate as their programming language which integrates with an Angular front-end.

•You have a degree in Information Science or Engineering and have proven experience with large, agile project development.

•You are experienced in programming languages and frameworks such as Java, Kotlin and Spring Boot.

•You communicate fluently in English and Dutch.

- Location: Aalst (1 Day per week)

- Duration: 12+ months

- Start Date: ASAP
