In coordination with the Project Manager(s) and the Technical Lead, the BMC TrueSight Operations Management SME will perform duties such as the following:

• Implement a TrueSight Operations Management system(s) based on agreed technical requirements, and in accordance with the provided design and architecture;
• Facilitate the application and system security accreditation;
• Provide support to the Technical Lead in ensuring technical coherence across multiple project streams;
• Develop detailed build and configuration documentation of the TrueSight Operations Management deployments and provide support in the development of testing and training materials;
• Provide support in the testing phases of the delivery, including but not limited to, Functional Acceptance Test and User Acceptance Test events;
• Provide support in both the preparation and during the transition to operations of newly deployed TrueSight Operations Management systems, including handover activities to the relevant operations team.

• Skills and Competencies
• Extensive experience installing and upgrading BMC TrueSight Operations Management (version 11.x and higher) in both single and multi-tenancy, and in highly available and multi-site resilient designs;
• Extensive experience configuring BMC TrueSight Operations Management (Infrastructure Management) to integrate with Remedy ITSM Suite (version 9.1 and higher);
• Extensive experience configuring BMC TrueSight Operations Management (Infrastructure Management) to integrate with third party network management and system management tools, for example Microsoft SCOM and CA Spectrum;
• Knowledge and experience implementing and troubleshooting integrations such as BSR, PSR, Change Management, Digital Workplace Advanced, and the Triage and Remediation solution;
• Extensive knowledge and experience configuring BMC Operations Management (Infrastructure Management) to monitor external systems and service components utilising various methods of data capture and ingestion;
• Extensive knowledge and experience configuring BMC Operations Management (Infrastructure Management) to perform data correlation, deduplication, and alerting to ensure high quality monitoring output, for example, reducing false positive alerts;
• Extensive experience creating profiles and dashboards to provide different access and views in TrueSight Operations Management (Infrastructure Management);
• Recent experience creating reports using TrueSight Smart Reporting;
• Experience working on Linux and Windows servers;
• Understanding of modern IaaS and PaaS tools and technologies, for example networking solutions, hypervisor solutions, storage solutions and load balancing solutions.
• Education and Experience
• A university degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; alternatively, 5 years of relevant industry experience;
• A minimum of 3 years recent experience in large scale BMC TrueSight Operations Management (version 11.x and higher) deployments;
• ITIL 2011 (or later) Foundation;
• BMC Certified Professional – Operations beneficial;
• Recent experience in BMC TrueSight Capacity Optimization (version 11.x and higher) beneficial.
