As an AI Engineer, you’ll bridge experimentation and scalable production: transforming prototypes into robust, observable microservices. You’ll drive medium- to large-scale AI initiatives end-to-end, partnering closely with the product and other engineering teams to translate strategy into high-impact features that move the needle for our customers.

What you’ll do:

  • Model Development & Evaluation: Architect, train, and evaluate AI models using frameworks like PyTorch and leverage LLMs to solve real-world problems.
  • Reproducible Pipelines: Design and maintain end-to-end training and evaluation pipelines with rigorous metrics to guide iteration.
  • AI Agents: Design and implement AI agents using LangGraph or Google’s Agent Development Kit to orchestrate multi-step workflows, power conversational agents and automate complex business processes.
  • Production Engineering: Implement enterprise-ready microservices (FastAPI, Docker, Kubernetes) with CI/CD, observability (Prometheus, Sentry), and cost optimization in AWS environments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Product and other engineering teams to identify high-leverage AI features, embed into other teams to accelerate AI tracks.
  • Mentorship: Work closely together and coach other engineers through code reviews, pairing sessions, and active knowledge sharing; champion clean code, testing, security, and AI ethics standards.
Who you are:

  • You have at least 4-5 years of relevant experience shipping impactful AI systems into production.
  • You’ve demonstrated end-to-end AI system development and delivery in a production environment.
  • You’re proficient in Python and common AI frameworks like PyTorch and LangChain.
  • You bring a solid understanding of MLOps best practices.
  • You possess strong backend engineering skills in API design, testing, observability, and infrastructure as code.
  • You are able to articulate complex trade-offs and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • You’re passionate about impactful AI, fairness and transparency.
  • You’re committed to raising the bar through continuous learning and feedback.
  • You’re based in Belgium and excited to work together with the TechWolf team in our Ghent office at least three days per week.
