A new AP/AR ACCOUNTANT job has just become available for an international firm in Zaventem, active in the automotive sector. If you have some years of experience in accounting and you value analytical work in an international environment? Then this is the job for you!



The AP/AR ACCOUNTANT will be responsible for:



Accounts Receivable tasks

  • Invoicing
    • Manage Self-billing process by customer
    • Create manual invoices
    • Inventory + claims management
  • Follow up aging lists
  • Prepare monthly closing documents/reports
  • Manage IC accounts statements overview, reconciliation and balances
  • Manage open items on GL accounts
  • Support AR process improvements

You will also be the back-up for some responsibilities of the AP accountant.

Accounts Payable tasks

  • Invoicing
    • Sort, code and match invoices
    • Review invoices for appropriate documentation and approval
    • Prioritize and process invoices according to compliance with procedures
    • Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies
    • Assist in month end closing
  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
  • Assist with other projects as needed
  • Assist with monthly reports
  • Provide supporting documentation to auditors

Profile of ideal AP/AR ACCOUNTANT:

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
* You have at least 5 years of work experience in Accounting
* You are fluent in English. Other language is an asset
* We need someone flexible and easy going, who can adapt easily to various international business cultures in the company
* You have excellent communication skills and team spirit
* Analytical thinking
* You have good knowledge of MS Office
* SAP experience is an asset
