To strengthen our Insights-to-Impact(I2I)R&Dteam, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of:Business Analytics Lead.The job location can be in Belgium (Brussels), UK (Slough/London), Germany (Monheim/ Düsseldorf).


The I2I R&Dteam acts as independent sparring partner to the R&D teams, providing Insights and a transversal resource reallocation challenge, while performing business planning.

As a Business Analytics Lead, you are the thought-partner of our colleagues in R&D in the domain of Advanced Analytics, i.e., building the bridge between business priorities/needs and Advanced Analytics use cases.


You will contribute by:

  • Partnering with a large number of stakeholders in the Research & Development domain (Project teams, clinical operations, discovery, ...) to define Analytics projects and deliver insights to support decision making, and steering R&D investments.
  • Developing roadmaps: Connecting the dots and triggering discussions with business partners to define potential projects (understand business questions and needs, identify relevant Analytics use cases, drive working sessions with business partners, …).
  • Building business cases: Developing and testing the business case for (Advanced) Analytics projects and ensure impact tracking.
  • Drive impact: Engaging with respective stakeholders to help converting the Analytics Insights into impact (decisions, committed action plans, …), and steering R&D investments.
  • Ensuring projectdelivery: Overseeing the delivery of the Analytics projects, work closely together with UCB teams & external vendors on key analyses to be performed, and distill the key business implications and “so-what’s”.
  • Being the transversal connector of Analytics topics between the R&D domains, as well as with other Analytics teams (Go-to-market and Supply & Technology Solutions).
  • Driving cultural and mindset change within UCB to increase knowledge and adoption of Advanced Analytics.


I
nterested? For this position you’ll need the followingeducation, experienceand skills:

  • Extensive experience with the pharma industry is required: understanding key challenges, business questions and needs (especially in the R&D domain), with an overall 5-10 years of professional experience.
  • Ability to think strategic and holistic, connecting the dots between variety of insights, and synthesizing the key implications / so-what’s.
  • Proven experience with Advanced Analytics (i.e., understand the various techniques, and what it can deliver). Consulting experience in the domain of Analytics is a plus.
  • Ability to identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations on multiple tasks and execute tasks accordingly with a high degree of quality while managing to tight deadlines and changing business needs.
  • Skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and being known to articulate complex concepts in clear, brief and easy to understand manner.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, and ability to work in a highly networked and matrix organization.
