Robert Half is currently recruiting a Business Controllerfor a multinational active in the logistics industry.

With nearly 60 years of experience in its field, our client employs over 2,000 members of staff at 10 different locations.

As a Business Controlleryou are responsible for providing management reports regarding financial and operational performance and KPI’s. Your key stakeholders will be the local & country business management, the finance controlling, and accounting organization.

Your Responsibilities

  • You support the business with financial and operational analysis;
  • You discuss improvements with various stakeholders to increase the profitability and productivity;
  • To justify investments, you challenge & defend business cases;
  • You analyze, challenge & validate customer contracts;
  • You are responsible for month and year end closing and for the quarterly forecasting & yearly budgeting process.

Functional requirements:

  • You have a university degree in Finance;
  • You have relevant experience (min 5 years) in a similar role;
  • You are familiar with different costing systems (standard costing, ABC,…);
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in Dutch French and English;
  • Solid personality to challenge data, ensure correct understanding, come to an opinion and present the result of the analysis in an independent way;
  • You strike the balance between the details and the essence, ability to synthesize, structured approach;
  • You have an open mind towards improving performance and resolving issues.
