Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Business Excellence Regional Leader, Partnerships & External Supply (PES). This position will be based in the Europe site locations including Belgium, Netherlands, Ireland, Switzerland, or Italy. The Business Excellence Lead will be part of a team responsible for driving the MTO E2E transformation of the PES Small Molecule and Larger Molecule (including Vaccine) Platforms, responsible for progress towards the MTO short and long-term business and aspiration goals (halving lead time/inventory, halving cost and 100% RFT/OTIF). This person will support the creation of the continuous improvement approach and capabilities across the PES network, including transformation and continuous improvement. The team will enable the Janssen external supply chain to react in terms of speed & agility, while driving out cost (with emphasis on the “hidden factory”) to support affordability and value creation. The initial focus of the position will be on the vaccine supply chain. Our BEx team is developing, implementing, leading, and delivering initiatives for the Large and Small Molecule platforms, will develop and follow through on our prioritized initiatives and deliver purposeful outcomes through insights and business analytics tools, techniques, and processes – leading the plan to deliver near and long-term execution for the PES Platform and MTO. Responsibilities: Identify and implement opportunities to improve competitiveness (cost, reliability, compliance) across the external manufacturing network. Identify & deliver on E2E improvements through JJOS initiatives as they relate to PES. Focus in on opportunities within the network to partner and deliver value between manufacturing nodes. Implement, lead, and deliver transformation activities at our external partner sites and at the Platform tiers. Work with PES site leads and quartet teams to identify, develop, and drive value creation initiatives. Support E2E Performance Management process at the EM Site and Platform levels. Support the delivery of lead time and inventory reduction targets. Participate in achieving the PES business goals and objectives and be accountable for bringing value and delivering Platform CIP’s and annual targets. Support and collaborate in the development and implementation of the Platform transformation roadmap. Build Continuous Improvement capability within the PES quartet teams: Lean, Six Sigma, JJOS, Analytics, Design, etc. Support strategic platform/site programs as the need arises. A change agent capable of influencing without direct authority is required. Insight and understanding of the overall business environment, basic business acuity, outside-in orientation and networking capability are vital capabilities. Knowing how value is built in the business and understanding the key levers to driving innovative improvements is required. Act as a strong and methodical process problem solver with the ability to link adverse data trends to problem identification and solutions. Challenge business processes and confront areas where breakthrough improvement is required. Confirmed strong change management, consensus management and teamwork skills. A full understanding of metrics and ability to link them to the strategy and process performance. Engage and drive business improvements to ensure that projects and programs are implemented in a timely fashion with measurable results. Coach, mentor and facilitate teams assuring their efficiency and effectiveness is required. Exhibits strong leadership skills Exhibits excellent presentation and communication skills. Qualifications Required: A Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree. Minimum of 8 years of relevant business experience. 5+ years of Supply Chain business experience in a Pharmaceutical or related industry role. Proven outcomes in use and deployment of Continuous Improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, or DEX) on the Production floor. Demonstrated experience leading the deployment of Lean, and/or Six Sigma at a site level. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification or willing to pursue a Black Belt certification Position may require up to 25% travel both domestic and international. Preferred: Experience with Drug Product and Drug Substance manufacturing processes. Experience in leading Global teams. Experience in the External Make environment.
