Job Purpose and Impact

Cargill has an ambition to modernize its digital core and specifically ERP systems. Aligned with this ambition, Cocoa and Chocolate (CCC) has developed their business strategy and supporting Process, Data and Technology (PDT) plan that will launch a business transformation effort to standardize its core processes, harmonize its master and transactional data and migrate its core “ERP” portfolio to SAP.

The Business Implementation Manager (BIM) will manage the business-related aspects of the global deployment of this transformation program.

To ensure the success of this large ERP modernization program, the plan calls for several Phases. Phase I – Pre-readiness and deep-dive solution blueprint for CCC, Phase II - Business Readiness and SAP system design, build and test and Phase III – SAP Implementation.

Phase 1 has been completed for the Global template. Deployment of the following Phases will be done in Waves, starting off with the European manufacturing sites and West Africa and APA operations, followed by implementation of the Trading and Entrepreneur activities in Cocoa and Chocolate Europe.

The program is expected to run till end of 2024.

We seek a strong and empowered leader who will drive results, proactively identify, and resolve problems, and partner effectively with all levels of the business organization as well as the supporting functions.

Key Accountabilities
  • Responsible for overall project together with the Global IT Deployment Lead and the System Integrator partner
  • Hold IT and the SI partner accountable for the delivery of SAP and related projects (SAP and legacy app design/built/test/install), and post-go live support through stabilization.
  • Lead key end-to-end decision points on scope regarding SAP functionality and footprint.
  • Ensure organizational readiness and leadership commitment to successful execution.
  • Prepare and drive the business to change both how work gets done and what talent is needed to sustain the change.
  • Monitor performance of the portfolio of initiatives to ensure adherence to quality, schedule, scope, budget; taking corrective action, where needed with a primary focus of on-time delivery.
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership, development and talent management activities for direct reports and their teams (up to 40 FTE) forecasting resource needs, recruiting, hiring, performance management, training, and budgeting. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Min of 10+ years of business experience with a proven track record in developing and implementing complex business or team strategies/project
  • Experience leading SAP deployment projects for a sizeable multinational company in an international environment
  • Negotiation, facilitation, stakeholder management
  • Systems thinker able to understand how process, data, people, and technology work in tandem to drive the business forward
  • Confirmed ability to achieve compromise and conclusion in complex relationships within a matrix, and handle key stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Proven execution skills; experience managing complex projects with large people component (team leadership/coaching/mentoring)
  • Strong capability to “deliver through people” in a multicultural and divers’ environment
  • Business background with strong process and organizational skillset
  • Confirmed ability to embrace and motivate change in the organization; views change as an opportunity as opposed to as a threat
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project management experience in a pure project management role
  • Broad multi-functional experience
  • Demonstrate agility and resiliency to deliver exceptional results
