JOB DESCRIPTION
As a team member of the Metals Procurement organization, the Commodity Buyer will be responsible for
procuring components to build our 3DS machines, metal powder and spare parts. The Commodity Buyer will
work with assigned suppliers to meet quality, on-time delivery, and price requirements. Thereby taking
initiatives for continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Enable revenue through assurance of supply parts availability through timely issuance of

purchase orders and active follow up; use KPI’s to analyze, drive corrective actions and regular
reporting out

  • Measure supplier performance and work with suppliers to resolve quality and quantity
discrepancies
  • Evaluate criticalities and take mitigating actions e.g., risk buys
  • Systems maintenance
  • Accurate information and parameter setting in the installed ERP system
  • Manage operational excellence and balance with inventory optimization
  • Select suppliers in alignment with commodity strategies, validated components, and capacity
  • Work towards achievement of the targeted cost through negotiating; motivate suppliers to

come with value added/value engineering opportunities

PROFILE
• Minimum 5 years of proven procurement experience
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Supply Chain
  • Advanced experience with MS Office is required; knowledge of Oracle is a plus
  • Hands on (dynamic/flexible), well organized, structured, speed of execution, critical, taking
initiatives
  • Strong verbal and formal communication skills, assertive to build network with internal
stakeholders
  • Ability to define problems, hypothesize, collect appropriate data, and draw valid conclusions
  • Willingness to visit suppliers on site for follow up and to gain production process expertise
