OUR TEAM WITHIN IKEA

Our team is the voice of IKEA. We use words, pictures and videos to tell the story about IKEA, to build our brand and inspire people with our offer. We bounce ideas back and forth, we challenge each other and we are crazy passionate about communication. Of course we’re also the ones who make sure to keep all our fellow co-workers informed, engaged and connected in a constantly changing business environment.

You Will

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
  • Be responsible to develop different internal communication assignments
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of communication projects hand in hand with other departements
  • Enable effective internal communication and assist in the creation of prerequisites for our leaders and co-workers to be our best ambassadors
  • Define, plan, create/execute and follow up on internal communications activities - Actively push for improvement of co-worker engagement, based on trends in communication and the latest developments within the communication field
  • Ensure a good interaction with the unit and adapt to the local culture
  • Take leading role in translation & localisation projects
Who You Are

As a communication intern you:
  • Have strong communication skills in French & Dutch (spoken and written), English is a plus. - Have proven advanced training in strategic communications or equivalent - Demonstrate strong (IKEA) leadership skills, by using sound judgements to make timely and effective decisions - Have the ability to understand the complexity of IKEA business and the role of communication as an integrated part of the business - Can to communicate verbally, visually and in writing in an inspirational way with with down to earth and simple IKEA tone of voice - Can take a leading role in communication with the business goal, co-workers in focus - Can work autonomously - Have a proactive attitude in problem solving and hands-on approach when necessary - Have knowledge of how to work with operational communication.- Are up-to-date with communication trends and principles, to give expert advice in the choice of tools, methods and channels.- Have a strong understanding of digital/social media and graphic knowledge.- Have a strong knowledge of communication methods and processes to deliver efficient communication and stakeholder plans.- Have a driving license (type B)
Preferred to have: Knowledge of the IKEA brand, culture, values and way of working
