A career in our Mergers and Acquisitions practice, within Deals Corporate Finance services, will provide you the opportunity to deliver innovative deal solutions to our clients, providing advice and support, from initiation through to deal completion. In short, we’re a part of helping some of the world’s leading companies across industries originate, create, execute, and realise value from deals. Through data driven insights we help our clients move in the right direction ensuring maximum value for their company.
Our team offers strategic advice to investors and companies undertaking mergers and acquisitions or investment opportunities. As part of our team, you’ll help our clients by providing client specific commercial insight, market and competitor overviews, and investment/divestment advice and modelling.

As a Director in our Corporate Finance division you’ll be responsible for

Deal Origination

  • Identify and follow up on potential transaction opportunities
  • Meet industry contacts and build long-term relationships with clients, targets, financial institutions and other intermediaries
  • Conduct desktop analyses of businesses (financials, markets, products and competitors), including modelling business plans
  • Originate and introduce deal and project ideas to potential acquirers and investors
  • Prepare pitch documents (including industry research) and actively manage proposal teams

Deal Execution

  • Manage the preparation of business plans, information memoranda, management presentations and other marketing documents
  • Contact financiers and trade & financial buyers, handle the bid process and assess bids
  • Advise on valuation, tender tactics, financing structures and financial modelling
  • Assist management with offer letters or presentations
  • Scope and project manage the due diligence processes
  • Provide commercial and financial input to legal documentation
  • Negotiate terms and conditions
  • Advise on risk management and compliance procedures
  • Project Management
  • Bring transactions to a successful completion
  • Deal with both buyers, sellers, financiers or advisors on transaction issues
  • People Management
  • Manage a team of Corporate Finance consultants during the execution of assignments
  • Contribute to their development by providing on-the-job coaching and training


Who you are, what you’re like

You have:

  • a Master’s degree
  • at least 12 years of relevant professional experience in Corporate Finance or similar experience gained in an investment bank, consultancy firm or within a corporate mergers and acquisitions department
  • a network of relevant business contacts in Belgium
  • experience related to transactions and business valuations
  • preferably expertise in private-equity business
  • a strong personality able to demonstrate leadership and inspire trust to our clients
  • a rigorous style and the ability to work independently
  • a strong desire to work in a multicultural environment
  • a perfect command of Dutch or French and English; any other European language is an asset
