As a Data Analyst, you work shoulder to shoulder with Data Scientists, Cloud Engineers, and Project Owners. You fulfill a number of crucial tasks when implementing a data solution in retail price management, retail inventory management, or retail marketing. For instance, you will help transform client data from one format to another, set up essential components, and create stunning dashboards that demonstrate the ridiculous value we create!

As a Data Analyst, you will learn a specific skillset on the job, working with our unique toolkit, which enables you to focus on the solution at hand and continuously improve our implementation process. This means that we will not require you to have a deep theoretical understanding of exotic machine learning models (the task of a Data Scientist) or solve deep technical issues (the task of a Cloud Engineer).

The role is ideal for a candidate with a technical background, eager to take on additional tasks of a more ’business’ nature. What will be part of your responsibilities?

As a Data Analyst, we will award you with the following responsibilities:

• You help guide the implementation of a Crunch Analytics data solution, be it in the field of retail price management, retail inventory management, or CRM & marketing automation;
• You manage the client data transformation process, ensuring data flows appropriately from one system into the other;
• Working together with data scientists, you create jaw-dropping dashboards that show a client what ridiculous value our team’s algorithms create;
• Achieve true mastery. You become the go-to implementation specialist of a Crunch Analytics data solution, by learning the ins-and-outs of a solution and growing your skillset;
• You capture lessons learned and help to improve our implementation process of said data solution.

‍ What skills are required?

For this specific position, a lot can be learned on the job. However, we do deem the following skills/interests essential:

• A candidate has obtained at least an associate’s degree (’graduaat’) or bachelor’s degree in:
  • Applied Information Technology/Applied Computer Science;
  • Computer Programming;
  • Economics or Business Management,
  • Marketing or Marketing Analysis;
  • Business Administration or Business Management,
• You have a passion for working with data and technology and you know how to program in at least one program language of choice;
• You have a basic knowledge of SQL;
• You can work with one or more dashboarding tools (Power Bi, Metabase, Tableau or other.)
• You speak Dutch and English on a professional level.

‍ What skills can be perfected on the job?

Sure, having experience with data-science software and packages (DBT, Databricks, Data Factory, Scikit-Learn,) the Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform or lean/agile software development is a definitive plus.

But most importantly, each candidate should be a team player, eager to learn and able to help translate business requirements into a technical solution, using his eagerness and on-point communication skills.
