We are searching for a dedicated business or data analyst with a positive ‘can-do’ mentality who can capture the user’s need and create intuitive systems and processes. As a business or data analyst you will play a vital role in improving our internal way of working with better systems, processes and getting valuable insight out of data. Programming is not a must but it is essential that you have experience with digital tools and data platforms (f.e. SQL) and have a truly analytical mindset. Thanks to your experience with statistical principals, your project management skills and your change mindset, you see potential for optimizing current business processes.

As part of the team focused on Digital & Data within DEME’s Project Management Office you will be working in a trusted & experienced environment, at the very core of DEME’s strategic operations, where we strive for excellence in our activities.

Your responsibilities

• Find new improvement opportunities by analyzing business processes, information and by listening to the business needs;
• Facilitate discussions between stakeholders to gather information, use cases,..;
• Scope use cases for digital solutions (e.g. tools, systems, processes) and how they contribute to providing benefit for the business and users;
• Develop from existing information, user input and business need new or optimized processes and define solution requirements;
• Deliver new and improved digital business solutions by collaborating with a multi-functional team;
• Analysis on & enhancements to information & relevant processes;
• Providing solutions and support on our master data management platform TIBCO EBX;
• Create master data sets that provide the single version of the truth on our core data, and allow systems to share relevant information;
• Making sure ownership and alignment is in place on our essential data sets & reports, and part of the DEME Business Glossary & Data Catalog;
• Leverage master data sets to create valuable corporate insights;
• Manage data quality (improvements) to get the most out of our data.

Your profile

• Master degree in the field of business, data management or similar;
• You have experience either as a business analyst or a data analyst, of which preferably experience on Data Management or Data Governance such as on Meta-data Management, Master Data Management, Data Quality and/or Data Insights/analytics;
• You can structure processes, and complex problems into simple, understandable solutions;
• Affinity with business & information strategy, and IT landscape;
• Ability to communicate related matters in both technical and business-friendly language;
• Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills;
• Excellent listening, interpersonal and communication skills (in English);
• Skills on Business processes, analysis and continuous improvement;
• Skills on information processes, analysis, data modeling & business intelligence;
• Working knowledge of Microsoft solutions such as Office 365, SQL, Azure and Power BI;
• Preference for experience in the configuration and implementation of a data governance solutions such as Collibra and TIBCO EBX;
• Open & inquisitive mindset;
• A Team player, collaborative, bridge builder;
• Hands-on, result-oriented, can-do mentality;
• Highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously in a structured manner;
• Logical, pragmatic and efficient, with keen eye to essential details;
• You put the user / customer first, and have a high level of service mindedness, but remain at all times a critical thinker.
