EMAsphere is a software vendor providing a cloud based performance management platform. We help decision-makers to manage their business with confidence thanks to a clear view on their financial and operational data.

EMAsphere occupies more than 50 employees with offices in Louvain-La-Neuve, Ghent and Paris.

Tasks
As a Data Architect, you will be part of our Connectors Team of 6 people (as of today, to be extended in the future). This team develops connectors between EMAsphere and accounting/operational software. They play a key role as Data is at the center of our business. So far, more than 60 connectors were developed and we plan to develop more than 40 additional in the next 2 years.

Your role will be to “open the doors” by establishing contact with potential data providers/software vendors and to “prepare the ground” for our Connectors Team to be able to develop new connectors and, more specifically:
  • To analyse data:

You analyse the data models provided by third party systems.

You analyse the transformation into EMAsphere’s data model (when it exists).

For new domains, you propose an optimized data model.

You create prototypes / proof of concepts, potentially in the EMAsphere platform.
  • To build relationships with other software vendors in order to develop new connectors:

You establish contact with potential data providers/software vendors/…

You investigate connection possibilities with third party solutions.

You identify potential limits / technical constraints / sales constraints.

You collaborate with the marketing and sales team to identify priority providers and find pilot customers.

Requirements
  • Education : You have a business and/or technical background.
  • Experience: You have at least a first similar experience. Experience in data modeling is an asset.
  • Languages : You are fluent in English. You are a French or Dutch native speaker. The knowledge of the other language is an asset.
  • Skills :

You have a global understanding of company processes and IT systems related : the terms “ERP”, “CRM”, “BI”, “payroll system”, “accounting system”, “...” have no more secrets for you.

You have knowledge/experience with relational DBMS and BI tools / DWH.

You are capable of exploiting a wide variety of data sources (DB, API, Files, …) and of data formats (JSON, XML, …).

You have knowledge of some scripting and/or data engineering languages (Perl, Shell scripting, JS / Node, Python, ...).

Development skills are an asset (Java/Spring, .NET, …)
  • Behavioral skills :

You have excellent communication skills and can easily create contacts and relationships with partners.

You are very pedagogic, analytical, organised and solution-minded.

You are eager to continuously improve your knowledge of both the technologies and the business.

Teamwork is in your DNA, but you are also able to work independently.

You are a fun and dynamic colleague.
