We are hiring a Design System Owner for our client, a leading European insurance company with offices in Brussels.

What will you do?

You will support our client in their very key migration from Sketch to Figma.

Direct impact in leveling up the Design maturity of the organization.

Lead the visual and technical direction of the experience design, visual style, and technical tooling, with input from director-level peers of product design and development teams.

Create new components and patterns for the Design System and improve and refine existing ones to increase speed and quality, as well as increase adoption.

Create documentation and specs for engineers and designers.

Identify and nurture team growth and culture. You will take an leading & coaching role towards the other User Interface designers in the team.

You will act as a facilitator, liaising with stakeholder and ensuring the Design System becomes the single source of truth in the Design team.

Are you the one? - Yes if:
You have at least 2 years of relevant experience with similar projects.

You’re independent, engaged and not afraid of taking the lead.

Proven experience working with Design systems, atomic design and stakeholder management in large companies.

You have experience or the ambition to coach other designers in the team.

The ability to lead strategic UX discussions.

You master Sketch and Figma.

You speak 2 languages: English and French or Dutch.
