Job Description:
Desktop Technician will provide day to day local emote desktop support, receive inbound calls, answer questions, troubleshoot and document steps performed to resolve challenges with hardware, software and application issues in a ticketing system. The candidate will also need to facilitate customer resolution for calls and engage their supervisors and managers to ensure operational consistency across all shifts within the IT Support Centre. Desktop Support Engineer provides Break Fix, fault diagnosis and resolution. Providing fault analysis to customer’s various core operating systems and platforms, as well be able to provide support and apply desktop fault resolution for the approved application suite. Ideal candidate should have 5+ years’ experience in Windows Desktop support.
Position Responsibilities and Functions
1.Experienced in Desktop Laptop, troubleshooting
2.Experienced in installation, configuration and OS troubleshooting
3.Experienced in Asset Management Should have experience in application support
4.Knowledge on iPhone configuration
5.Should have exposure to basic network troubleshooting
6.Exposure and understanding of ticketing tool
7.Understanding of ticketing process incident/service requests
8.Understanding of SLA and meeting targets
9.Understanding of Service desk process of logging tickets and allocation
10.Understanding of Asset/inventory record process, System & Peripherals movements etc
11.Understanding to coordinate with vendors/principles
12.Understanding of client management, user response (email/verbal)
13.Managing SLAs for its respective sites.
14.Hands-on experience on ticketing application.
15.Knowledge of Hardware asset management.
16.Working on incidents and requests, troubleshooting hardware and software issue.
17.Experience to Installation and configure operating systems, applications and software/driver updates.
18.Experience on remote assistance in PC set up, upgrades, troubleshooting.
19.Hands-on experience on Microsoft excel.
20.Preparing/updating reports for the tickets processed, Inventory report, keeping a track of assets/Stocks movement across sites.
21.Keeping required documents handy and updated.
22.Escorting third party engineers at site.
23.Smart hand request/Hands and feet support for network/printer/firewall activities etc.
24.Packing and unboxing laptops.
25.Quality Assurance Testing of laptops
26.Move equipment between Hub/tech Hub, Goods in and Loading Bay
27.Disposing equipment
28.Liaising with site facilities for maintenance of the Hub/tech Hub area
29.Monthly/weekly Inventory audit
30.Placing Hardware/accessories orders and managing Threshold stock
31.Handling Customer service support
32.Deskside Support calls
33.Receiving equipment from clients and updating stockroom.
34.Managing stockroom.
35.Should have worked in Manufacturing & Production line support from IT Perspective
