Overview:
As a DevOps Engineer you will be working on the backend of our web based Common Data Environment (CDE), Bricsys 24/7. By doing so, you will be part of an international team that aims to develop an intuitive and user-friendly environment for effective collaboration throughout design and construction.

Initiatives and new ideas are important and opportunities for growth present themselves on a regular basis. Given time and personal interest, differentiating into other functions (team lead, business analyst, software architect, devops, ...) is possible.

Bricsys is a global provider of design software. For the last two decades, our focus has been building cost-effective, mission-critical design tools. By taking design workflows to the next level and integrating BIM and Mechanical design capability, we believe that we are the trusted CAD partner. Our recent acquisition by Hexagon has acted as a catalyst by increasing the cadence of our mission to help our customers achieve more, in less time, for less money.
Responsibilities:
  • Setting up monitoring and maintaining the current cloud infrastructure of our global SaaS solution Bricsys 24/7.
  • Migration of the current legacy project towards a secure, scalable and highly-available fully-containerized architecture running on Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to help create reliable and frequent releases for software and updates. This could include, but is not limited to, testing of new features, identifying solutions that may impact the product for cloud deployment, building automation tools, standardizing technologies, and improving operations efficiency
  • Provide multi-layered technical expertise for next generation initiatives
  • Identify, analyse, and resolve system design weaknesses
  • Develop, analyse, and maintain tools that support and automate processes for product releases
  • Manage continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) tools with the team
  • Recommends and makes changes and enhancements to improve the quality of products and procedures
Qualifications:
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform infrastructure (or equivalent via AWS/Azure)
  • Experience managing a Kubernetes cluster.
  • Solid knowledge of networking and Linux administration.
  • Experience with Docker, GitHub, Jenkins or other build pipelines.
  • Ability to learn and/or use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
  • A good understanding of CI/CD
  • Fluent in English
Bonus
  • Experience with the Spring ecosystem
  • Deep knowledge of scripting languages (i.e. Python, Bash)
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-a-code tooling (Terraform, Chef, Puppet, ..)
