DevOps Engineer (m/f)

The role

As DevOps Engineer your role is to build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, keep sprints going, automate the software delivery, test and deployment process and constantly look for process improvements. You are responsible for theautomated test-suite that validates both the end-to-end functionality of SoundTalks livestock monitoring solutions against predefined requirements; as well as the functionality of each of it’s components, including software running in the cloud and embedded software running on the monitoring devices.

You are able to report on the test results and status of our quality control procedures; and will work in close cooperation with backend and embedded engineers to improve and ensure the quality of the product.

Responsibilities

  • implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, including assembly test procedures and automated system-level test
  • implementation of validation test suite that tests against system-level requirements
  • defining the test plan and clarifying requirements for upcoming product generations
  • high level debugging of quality problems; both software, hardware or configuration
  • close collaboration with backend and embedded software developers to drive and supervise the quality control procedures

Requirements

  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree in a software related subject with minimum 2 years of experience working in the field of Software Development, IT, Configuration Management or DevOps.
  • You have professional knowledge of software configuration management tools like: Confluence, Gitlab, Gitlab CI, AWS, Git, Jenkins, Docker and/or Kubernetes.
  • You have strong knowledge of Python and test automation
  • You have experience in software and hardware debugging
  • Linux Knowledge is a plus
  • Transparent communication about technical issues and quality assurance is a must.
  • You have excellent communication skills in English (oral and written), mastering the Dutch language is a plus
  • AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, or Agile certifications and experience within the high-tech domain are plusses.
