Position Title:Director, Program Management

Reports to: VP of CGT , Global Program Management

Division:Cell and Gene Therapy

Location: Gosselies

I. Position Overview:

II. Position Overview:

• Responsible and provide leadership for the Catalent Gosselies Project Management team, ensuring all projects are managed effectively and according to client expectations.
• Be an active member of the Global Cell and Gene Therapy client and business management team, participating in global objectives and driving the development of the Gosselies client and business management function and team.
• Be an active member of the site leadership team representing Project Management, participating in site decisions and initiatives and striving to meet revenue, metrics and goals.
• To supervise, mentor and develop Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Coordinators.
• Directly involved in the winning of business for Catalent, maintains and develops successful business relationship with new and existing clients and represents global project management for Catalent with customers and throughout the organization.
• To promote continuous improvement in all aspects of the job: coordination with Sales, Operations, EH&S, and QA to ensure the highest level of client service.
• May be required to assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Global PM leader, or other Site Senior Managers.
• Effectively support, supervise and monitor performance of Sr. Project Managers, Project Managers, and Coordinators in the management of assigned projects.
• Ensure the project management team are trained and developed appropriately to meet the needs of the business and allow individuals to reach their full potential.
• Ensure the project management team adheres to all G&O set.
• Ensure the project management team complies to all PM process/tools/metrics.
• Responsible for ensuring adequate resource available and allocation of work within team.
• To be responsible for ensuring that a safe working environment is maintained for himself/herself and his/her colleagues by observing all safety procedures and working methods, and by reading, understanding and following all documents issued or notified to him/her
• Initiate and manage assigned project management budget.
• Provide effective support to teams as required and be the point of escalation for issues that Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, and Coordinators need support to resolve.
• Ensures the project management team supply required information and participate in forecasting, revenue and S&OP activities.
• Contributes positively and proactively to the organizational function of the Project Management team and strives to improve the current processes.
• Be an active member of the site (s) leadership team representing Project Management, participating in site decisions and initiatives and striving to meet site revenue, metrics and goals.
• Assumes the role of client advocate and ensures all Senior Project Managers, Project Managers and Coordinators act as client advocate.
• Represents the client with respect to potential scheduling conflicts.
• Fully understands all Catalent business lines and promotes Catalent Services at client meeting and conferences.
• Is involved in working with BD/Sales to support the winning of new business and continuous liaison with Sales in terms of changes in scope of work, and future contract opportunities.
• Support the identification, initiation, planning and successful launching of new projects within the Catalent network.
  
  

III. Position Requirements:

Education or Equivalent: Minimum of Chemistry, Life Sciences, business degree or equivalent and 10 - 15 years in a client facing, project management or scientific environment.

Experience:

• Experience transitioning and growing effective teams
• In-depth knowledge of the contract development / research, pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
• Proven knowledge of project management
• Customer related experience and excellent client facing skills - desire to meet and indeed exceed customers’ expectations
• Demonstrated leadership along with negotiation, presentation and facilitation skills
• Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
• Proven communication skills both written and verbal
• Experience using MS Office programs, including MS project
• Process Improvement Focus
• To travel as necessary to undertake the above responsibilities
• To be flexible in hours of work needed for global clients and time zone differences
• Fluent in English and French
