Job Summary:

This position is responsible for diagnosing, processing, and verifying incoming RMAs from the field. The primary duties include; ensuring that the RMA process is followed for all units received, including entry of RMA data into the utilized systems such as The Traveler System (Halo Internal order tracking software), Salesforce, Microsoft Excel. Ultimately evaluating, testing for failure symptoms, and proper diagnosis of the unit. The position will also support the engineering and quality teams when requested, as well as be responsible for the maintenance and overall condition of tools and test equipment at their workstation and within the department. This position has direct responsibility as part of the team to provide complete customer satisfaction regarding quality, response time, communication, and time to complete.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Facilitate advanced troubleshooting, testing, and development of new and existing optical transceivers.

• Diagnose and authorize defective product returns; test and verify problems upon receipt

• Test of optical devices, modules, and systems utilizing high speed scopes, OTDR, BERT, etc.

• Assist other departments as requested (IT, Software Development, Logistics etc.)

Qualifications and Experience:

• Computer skills required: Development Software; Inventory Software; Microsoft Office.
