The Tech Lead drives the technical strategy, product design, and technical team to meet customer and business critical needs by using robust process, encouraging innovation, aligning all technical functions, and taking smart risks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities.
  • Support VOC & VOB scope definition by assessing technical feasibility,
profitability, and timing impact on concept options
  • Create smart requirements, technical strategy & executable path for profitable,
safe, and effective product concepts
  • Ensure alignment of technical Senior Management & stakeholders for technical progress, decisions, risks, and support needed
  • Define technical resource needs and skills, define external budget with functional managers
  • Proactively identify key technical risks and backup options to improve project
timeline/success
  • Create a climate that stimulates team to innovate and use new technologies
balanced with accountability to critical business needs
  • Ensure selected design options are robust by defining adequate design and
process space and by organizing, conducting, and supporting design leads for
robust technical reviews.
  • Coordinate and ensure follow-up of technical activities in collaboration with key stakeholders, with respect of project commitment, quality procedures and business needs
  • Establish, maintain and update technical & Design documentation according to Good Documentation Practices and quality procedures
  • Contribute in mentoring and coaching of junior team members on projects related and technical strategic competencies required in product development.
Qualifications
  • Renal Therapy, Product, Market knowledges.
  • Deliver key messages appropriate to audience.
  • Define simple technical development direction through complex, multidisciplinary design and process space.
  • Critical thinking & technical prioritization.
  • Ability to define and execute key decisions.
  • Ability to create a collaboration environment, motivate others.
  • Ability to see the big picture and the impact of technical detail on business
needs.
Education and/or Experience.
MS degree in Engineering, Scientific field
Minimum 5-8 years of experience in product development or process development is required, preferably in the Pharmaceutical/Medical industry:
  • Fluent English both written and spoken.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project...)
  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry with design control knowledge.
  • Understanding of key product development steps.
  • Understand current Good Manufacturing Practices, able to work with products
in a regulated environment; understand the key regulatory and quality drivers
for products.
