Job Purpose and Impact

The Feed Regulatory and Registration Expert will interpret regulations as they apply to products, financial and other processes, practices and procedures in their region. The role is responsible for the coordination of global feed products registration execution (in particular feed additives) and coordination of the roll out of global feed products in coordination with Operations & Risk Management and Sourcing resources to ensure product availability at the launch date (manufacturing, ingredient sourcing, packaging, Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory requirements, Supply chain). The Feed Regulatory and Registration Expert will act as the key point for existing global feed products registration and will interact with trade associations, to serve this goal.

LOCATION: Open for the candidates based in France, Belgium, Spain, Netherlands

Key Accountabilities

• Build, design and deploy a registration plan including global international registration files (IRF), according to additives strategy; existing product launches, identify gaps with the regions, which will serve as a reference of regional registrations. The role may be involved in providing regulatory support for ingredient selection, quality audit, manufacturing site selection, supply chain initialization, packaging compliance.
• Ensure registrations and labeling comply with regulations and laws, working with regulatory colleagues in the regions to provide guidance, advise and accelerate the approval of delayed registrations. Provide the regional registration teams with advice on products and decision making for registrations scenarios and ensure communication between the teams that produce registrations materials.
• Examine current regulations and assess and maintain knowledge about regional registration requirements; follow up and track all registrations in progress, communicate on status regularly to determine the current and potential medium-term impacts.
• Provide thought leadership in Regulatory and Scientific Affairs area in the region including midterm and long-term emerging issues.
• Inform and advise key stakeholders on regulatory issues and changes that could potentially affect the business.
• Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Experienced in product registration in feed and feed additives.
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
• Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills
• Fluent in English
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in animal nutrition or pharma
• Experience in feed additives registration
• Knowledge of local registration process
• Experience in product industrialization
• Trade association experience
• Fluent in French
