Overview

The Service Engineer will work closely with the local sales team and regional Aftermarket team with responsibility for service engineering of new and existing customers across all liquid food related machinery.

JBT in Sint Niklaas where this position sits, we are in the unique position of being able to offer extensive thermal process expertise regarding virtually all low and high acid foods in nearly every type of sterilizing system and every type of package, by virtue of our position as a recognized thermal process authority. Our Research and Technology Centre in Sint Niklaas assists with Process Validation, Process Development, Container Performance Studies and Training.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of our Field Service Engineerwould look like this …
  • Site support with maintenance, inspections, trouble shooting and support with new projects.
  • Provide timely and accurate service and visit reports as required
  • Providing technical support for all JBT machinery within the area of responsibility
  • Work with Aftermarket team to implement aftermarket activities including services, promotion and CRM
  • Report all new project sales opportunities to the Sales Manager
  • Having a good technical/business understanding of the complete product range of JBT

Qualifications

We would like you to have what’s listed below, however we are super keen on diversity in the workplace – if you have something transferable come and tell us about it …
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, preferably in Processing-, Electrical-, Control system- or Mechatronic engineering. Additional mechanical skills will be acquired on the jobs.
  • More than 5 years’ experience in machine servicing, ideally in food processing plants
  • PLC , IPC & Servomotor knowledge is a plus.
  • Able to travel and work flexible hours.
  • Self-starter, independent worker and also able to work as part of a team
  • Strong relationship builder within a matrix organisation
  • Good knowledge of the English language
