Purpose of the job:

The Financial accountant is responsible for the day-to-day registration and analysis of (financial) transactions. These must be in line with the Company Instructions, Policies and Guidelines, and fit within the framework laid down by the Finance Director.

Accountabilities:

• Responsible for the correct application of the Group Accounting Principles.

• Responsible for the correctness of the accounting transactions.

• Draw up daily, weekly and monthly reports.

• Daily margin control

• Monitor ASM tool

• Specific reconciliations (balance sheet and P&L accounts)

• Perform various checks (MAV, expenses)

• Month-end & year-end closing tasks (finalize front-end, post accruals, perform inter company cross-charges, perform various checks)

• Follow up SOX-compliance guidelines

• Monitor various tools and processes

Knowledge Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy/tax or equivalent through experience

• Relevant work experience is preferred

• Thorough knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of SAP R3 is an advantage

• Can estimate risks and problem situations

• Performance driven

• Takes initiative

• Passionate

• Communicative, good social skills and a team player

• Accurate, punctual, committed

• Can work efficiently, independently and in a results-focused way in sometimes complex matters

• Analytical

• High level of Dutch and English

•Must be located in Belgium for this role.
