The purpose of the role

Griffith Foods is looking for an enthusiastic food technologist that will contribute to the growth of its snack product range by creating culinary solutions that meet our customer’ needs. She/he is a creative and hands-on foodie who likes to explore new opportunities that bring our Snack portfolio to the next level and is a team player who likes to contribute to innovative developments, marketing presentations, workshops and tastings at Herentals and customer’ location.

Responsibilities
  • Create winning innovative seasoning & coating systems for snack substrates - e.g. chips, tortilla’s, (coated) nuts, rice cakes, extruded snacks, crackers, popchips, …) in line with Griffith Foods Strategy
  • Use up to date knowledge of Food Science and Technology and apply it to assigned projects
  • Act as the technical contact for our savory snack customers in Northern & Eastern Europe and support line trials
  • Develop concepts for presentations, organize and execute workshops and train the customer showing our products in applications & marketable formats, in cooperation with sales and marketing
  • Look actively for innovative raw materials and systems to optimize internal and external processes
  • Proactively and visibly supports the Health and Safety standards, rules and regulations of the organization
Your Profile
  • Master in Food Science, Food Technology or equivalent by proven experience
  • Language skills: fluent in Dutch and English, other languages are a plus
  • Computer skills: MS Office
  • Experience in development and application of seasonings is a plus

  • Self-confident in presenting product concepts to customers
  • Passion for success with strong focus on getting things done well
  • Contributing to sensorial evaluations of the whole range of Griffith Food ingredients & products
  • Creative, hands-on and well-organized
  • Flexible in willing to travel to Northern & Eastern Europe to support our customers with the application of our products in their factories and in possession of a driver license
