Driven by innovation, we develop intelligent digitized solutions to the mobility issue that is gaining increasing attention in the public debate.As General Technical Support for Railways Technology (m/f/x), you play a key role in the Rail Mobility business through your broad knowledge of the railway sector, its norms and specificities and its technologies. You give support to internal staff, business development with tenders and to the service department.- You are a railway enthusiast who has a broad interest / knowledge in the technology around this sector.
- You mainly give advice and help to other internal staff. This can be quite broad, depending on the expertise level already acquired.
- You will be working with the typical Belgium railway technologies with a focus on rolling stock.
- Help and advice our spare parts sales staff by answering technical questions they have about certain customer requests.
- Help in the design of the integration of new equipment in existing Rolling Stock; help in the follow-up of those projects.
- Monitor the ‘end-of-availability’ (obsolescence) messages for certain material and check if this is relevant for the Belgium installed base.
- Be the link between the sales or project staff and the Headquarters technical departments regarding specific maintenance, quality, reliability, or obsolescence issues.
- Keeping up with emerging technologies or techniques that could trigger improvements in our maintenance services offering to customers.
- Prepare presentations on a certain topic to spread knowledge within the company.
- Help the sales staff in the understanding of customers technical requirements and produce technical or maintenance related offer documents.
- Good practical knowledge of Dutch, French and English.
- Knowledge of German is an asset.
- Strong technical background, preferable in electronics.
- Basic knowledge of railway systems is a minimum requirement.
- Maintenance experience / PM experience is an asset.
