As part of the Process Excellence team the Continuous Improvement Engineer will support the Global Project Engineering (GPE) EMEA Organisation to drive consistency of purpose, standardisation and improvements.With a strong process mindset and experience in delivering previous Lean and Continuous Improvement projects, the Continuous Improvement Engineer will guide, coach and support the EMEA GPE team to deliver Continuous Improvement initiatives which improve the performance and capability of the GPE organisation.
Working closely with the discipline leads, with the Quality Continuous Improvement Leader and with support of the Data analysis the CI Engineer will implement cost/time savings and quality improvements using the Data and GPE KPI’s to identify opportunities to drive waste reduction and improve value add.What we offer:

Tasks and Qualifications:
Core Accountabilities
- Leads Continuous Improvement Initiatives (included Action Workouts)
- Facilitates Kaizen events and workshops
- Leads multidisciplinary workshop and events to drive alignment and improvement
- Engages with GPE teams to support and coach teams and members to deliver Lean improvements and Green Belt projects
- Support GPE teams to ensure consistency of approach and alignment to Global engineering processes ensuring all process are mapped to the appropriate level
- Collaborates cross functionally to successfully target what, how and when improvement initiatives should be prioritised and how their success will be evaluated
- Provide training and support for new processes
- Utilises GPE KPIs and Data to evaluate the ROI for improvement projects to support selection and prioritisation of activities
- Responsible for building business cases, quantifying budget, executing, assessing, analysing, developing and delivering strategies and tactical actions to improve the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of the GPE organisation, being aware of best practice both in EMEA and the wider global business, including wider relevant industry best practice
- Sets process metric goals in partnership with applicable process owner
- Successfully defines workflows, responsibilities, and reporting relationships to obtain optimum effectiveness
- Develops and builds relationships to propagate cultural transformation and foster a CI Culture
- Utilizes innovation, process excellence, lean six sigma principles, change management and appropriate statistical tools to achieve project objectives
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems
- Enables, Fosters, Mentors, and Develops capabilities and experience in others, by applying process innovation, process excellence, lean six sigma principles, statistical tools and change management practices.
- Supports Lean/Six Sigma training and Certification Programs. Teaches and coaches lean six sigma principles, thinking & tools
- Engages and collaborates with extended GPE Process Excellence team and Dematic Process Excellence Community, to share experiences, align process and create a corporate-wide Continuous Improvement Culture
- Leverages Change Management practices with Leaders and Teams, in a collaborative effort to guide Dematic’s GPEs Continuous Improvement cultural transformation
- Innovates by continuously enhancing and improving existing policies, products, processes and methods
- Essential: Degree level qualified with experience of working within an Engineering business.
- Essential: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Essential: Fluent in English
- Desirable: Qualification in an Engineering discipline or similar experience
- Desirable: Lean Six Sigma Bleck Belt certification
- Experience in a similar role is desirable.
- 5+ years’ engineering experience
- LSS knowledge and experience
- Analysis of performance metrics

- Root cause analysis and other process excellence tools
- Stakeholder management and communication planning
- Travel approx. 30%
