For a client with a HQ based in Zaventem, we are currently looking for a Head of Accounting.

Your main responsibilities as the new Head of Accounting will include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day activities of Belgium entity’s accounting department including its branches
  • Supervising and coordinating accounting team’s activities
  • Analyzing balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
  • Executing Internal control and statutory compliance
  • Ensuring book compliance with BGAAP and IFRS accounting standards
  • Timely execution of monthly/ quarterly/annual closings and reporting cycles
  • Responsible for the preparation of financial and tax audits of the Belgian entity
  • Preparation of annual accounts and quarterly and/or annual reporting to the Works Council


Your profile:

  • You have a Master’s degree in Accounting
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in a leading accounting position, ideally in an international environment
  • You have a good knowledge of BE GAAP and IFRS
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English

  • You are independent and able to take initiative
