Supervise, monitor and instigate all health and safety related matters in EDC, in order to comply with legislation and create a safe and healthy work environment for all employees. Organize and lead the monthly safety committee meetings with the Unions, draft a monthly and yearly action plan with regards to safety measures. Make sure all legal requirements are met with regards to environmental issues, as well as coordinate the compulsory inspections. Work together with the DC supervision in order to establish a training matrix to obtain skilled and competent personnel on all levels, as well as establish a maintenance matrix for all areas, appliances and devices that require maintenance. Take up facility management services in conjunction with maintenance matrix.

Support the quality manager and quality department in establishing a continuous improvement environment, improving customer requirement awareness throughout the organization, guaranteeing proper customer complaint handling and administration and implementing and maintaining the various internal and external quality standards (ISO, OHSAS, DPS, …)

Key responsibilities :
  • All H&S related matters, without exception
  • Lead and organize Safety Committee
  • Monitor and solve all environmental related issues
  • Organize and follow up internal and external inspections
  • Work with DC management and supervision on drafting and maintaining matrixes with regards to required people skills and training, as well as building and device maintenance.
  • Make sure the site complies with all legal requirements as needed
  • Guarantee the adherence to all requirements of ISO9001 as well as internal standards
  • Maintain internal quality registration documents (CAPA, NCR, ..) and work with all stakeholders to obtain sustainabale solutions.
  • Support DPS or any other in-use internal production or distribution system to align all plants and DCs to the same company standard.
  • Be an ambassador for the company’s lean philosophy
  • Support plant manager and supervisory team with facility management services
