Are you an HR professional looking for a role where business partnership and leading HR projects is key? Avantor has the job for you! We currently have an exciting opportunity for aHR Manager to join us. We are offering this role on a full time permanent basis from our office in Haasrode, Leuven. You will be the strategic partner for the Managers you support and support the associates all along their professional life in the company.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
  • You advise and assist the managers to identify with them the solutions for their organisation to implement and develop and improve locally the company strategy.
  • You implement and support the Performance evaluation, Succession plan, Merit process, Talent development processes and any other group process in collaboration with Talent & Development and Compensation & Benefit team.
  • You work closely with Talent Acquisition to recruit or promote candidates.
  • You are responsible for the payroll & Benefit implementation.
  • You guide managers when there is legal issue linked to Human Resources and make sure the local laws rules and policies are in place and respected by your population.
  • You represent the company in front of the the Works Council and Unions.
  • You support the General Manager in any legal decision link to labor laws.
  • You drive projects on improving the processes to increase the efficiency of the HR work in Belgium or in South Region.
  • You collaborate closely with HR South Europe Team to create Synergies.
What you’ll need to be successful at Avantor:
  • You have a Master’s degree in HR and +15 years of experience in HR in a Matrix organisation
  • Experience in Global company with unions and WC is a must, you have both experience with Blue and White collar.
  • You have good knowledge of Belgium labor laws
  • You are able to communicate fluently in Dutch and English, French is a nice to have
  • You have good MS Excel skills
  • You have a good understanding of business strategy
