Job Description:
AmCham EU is seeking a seasoned human resources specialist to support our multi-cultural, multi-generational team and our members needs as we fully embed the hybrid way of working post-Covid. The successful candidate will be passionate about recruiting, supporting, and evolving employees through our company’s guidelines and managing processes. Her/his main responsibilities will include maintaining employee records, recruiting new employees, onboarding programmes, visa applications, HR policies and other. She/He will report to the Senior Operations Director.
Main tasks:
- Working with the management team to implement, improve, and assess all HR policies, procedures, tools and assessment process;
- Designing and implementing effective training and development plans;
- Play an active role during the annual performance reviews process, with a view to identifying pain points and areas to focus on as a company;
- Identifying the company’s hiring needs and managing the recruitment process to ensure it runs smoothly (drafting job descriptions, placing ads, screening candidates, attending interviews, advising on remuneration) as well as onboarding and offboarding processes;
- Handling employees’ queries regarding HR issues, rules and regulations (including insurances, pension scheme and other benefits) in a timely and professional manner;
- Supporting management of health and life insurance programs;
- Managing visa applications.
Qualifications/Skills/Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a relevant field;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and diplomacy;
- A minimum of 10 years of proven experience in a similar role;
- Track record in people management and talent retention;
- Excellent understanding of job evaluation and job analysis systems;
- Strong knowledge of Belgian labour legislation and payroll processes;
- Good understanding of the full recruitment process;
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills;
- Solid problem-solving and team management abilities.
Languages: Fluent English (both written and spoken); French or Dutch are preferable.
Start date: April 2023.
Type of contract: CDI - part time (3x days a week).
