The Global Director of the Inside Sales Capability Center (“ISCC”) will lead the team responsible for driving expansion of Inside Sales and Customer Success capabilities across Iron Mountain’s sales teams around the world.
In this role, you will own the Iron Mountain strategy and best practices for consistently implementing Inside Sales in new markets. You will work work with Sales Leaders in EMEA, LATAM, and APAC to both advance existing desk-based teams and stand up new teams for the first time.
You will manage a team of Commercial Operations and Enablement resources to continuously assess and improve global Inside Sales and Customer Success teams’ performance and impact.
The Commercial Operations arm will focus on creating, implementing, and continuously evolving the playbook of best practices for deploying Inside Sales and Customer Success teams globally. It will be responsible for monitoring and reporting performance against KPIs and coordinating with teams in individual markets to address performance gaps.
The Enablement arm will focus on equipping Inside Sales, Lead Gen, and Customer Success reps with the right knowledge, tools, and skills to be successful across the sales cycle. It will develop and lead high-impact training programs for new hires and be responsible for the ongoing development of teams with varying skill levels. The Enablement team will collect feedback on training effectiveness, identify gaps, and provide targeted rep-level coaching to upskill the sellers, augmenting the support from frontline managers.
As the leader of the ISCC, you will own the relationship between the ISCC and Sales Leaders across markets. You will support them as a thought partner for their go-to-market design, collaborate with them to implement or improve their Inside Sales and Customer Success capabilities, and be a key connector to other parts of the business.
Responsibilities
- Work with the ISCC Sponsor to define and continuously improve Iron Mountain’s best practices for Inside Sales and Customer Success
- Compile sales best practices into a repeatable “playbook” , including role definitions, hiring guidelines, onboarding programming, engagement model, and other key resources
- Guide Sales Leaders across markets through deploying the playbook , providing consultative support as they build, expand, and manage desk-based teams
- Lead ISCC Operations and Enablement teams to continuously improve Inside Sales & Customer Success teams’ processes and effectiveness
- Collaborate with local market leaders to improve desk-based team performance, ensure teams adhere to IRM best practices, and achieve performance targets
- Drive internal awareness and utilization of the ISCC , identifying new deployment opportunities to for ISCC programs
- Define Inside Sales and Customer Success requirements for IT, Marketing, Recruiting, GBS Sales Support, etc. and connect market leads to other functions as needed
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
- Experience (7+ years) in customer-facing roles in inside sales and customer success with a demonstrated knowledge of best practices, technologies, and enablement approaches in each of these areas
- Experience executing successful change management initiatives
- Proven track record of a positive impact on business outcomes, such as ramp time to productivity, quota attainment, and involuntary attrition
- Collaborative mindset with leadership capabilities and the ability to influence stakeholders and motivate others to action
- Excellent understanding of standard business practices related to Inside Sales processes and systems
- High level of professionalism, assertiveness, and creativeness, with the ability to team effectively at all levels of IRM on a wide range of topics and issues
- Strong organizational and team management skills, with a record of coaching and developing others
- Excellent written, oral and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate to global & market leadership
