The Barco Enterprise devision is at the forefront of innovations in the context of Barco’s digital transformation. Specifially, the Connected Media group develops a state-of-the-art, professional cloud software platform to securely process and distribute real-time, high-end media from a large number of sources towards a multitude of visualization points. Real-life applications where this platform is being used are e.g. digital operating rooms in large hospitals, interactive classrooms in business schools and unversities, large control rooms...


Function


The idea is to use AI to overlay a Nexxis video with interesting information (e.g.: object recognition). The video from the camera normally goes directly from a video encoder over the network as a Nexxis stream to a video decoder that shows the video on the display. It is also possible to receive the same video stream on a Linux PC and do processing on the image. The AI on the PC would then produce an overlay image and output this as an RGBA Nexxis video stream. The decoder then receives this RGBA stream and overlays it with the original video from the camera.

  • You have knowledge of Python
  • You have knowledge of C++
  • It’s nice if you have knowledge of opencv
