Your Profile:
In this function you will be part of the dedicated project team (reporting directly to the team lead and will support the study and information gathering over different markets (countries). A background and interest in marketing will be most welcomed. You will also need some affinity with data collection and be able to structure a variety of information.

In this international and diverse environment we are looking for an open minded person driven by Marketing and interested in data and analysis. Knowledge of any or more European languages are a clear plus.

Your profile should allow to support the above, and will most likely need following background:
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Marketing or in last year of these studies
  • Or a Master in Economics or Business Engineer, with a clear affection for Marketing
  • Punctual and driven by data
  • Interest in marketing world and some knowledge on the technology of the Internet
  • Good MS office skills (xls & ppt)
  • Basic insights into data privacy, compliance and GDPR regulation
  • Fluent in English (other language a benefit)

Your team and your responsibilities:
With over one million cars sold in Europe per year, TME together with its affiliate companies in most of European countries has established a strong Brand and Communications division to support these sales with attractive and effective Marketing.
Within this division a dedicated team is established that supports and steers all marketing related to the Value Chain / After Sales products and services.
To ensure a common tone of voice and aligned visual brand image, a dedicated team in European HeadQuarters is in place that covers many of the Marketing tasks. These tasks are mainly setting a common calendar on Marketing events, creating assets and marketing material and also defining strategy. The challenge is to oversee how this material is being used by the different local markets (i.e. each country has a local Marketing team).

Your project:

Within the team of Value Chain Marketing you’ll be reporting to the team leader of VC Marketing and will be looking into the different markets / countries and map the different marketing initiatives on Value Chain. By setting up a communication line with the key markets you will be able to understand and report on the actual use and take up of centrally steered marketing material in local marketing campaigns.
Together with the supporting agency (centrally steered) you will support the Value Chain Marketing team to get a clearer view on the key processes on VC marketing and what needs local markets have on top of centrally delivered marketing campaigns.
This role might include (if situation allows) the need to visit some key markets. It is also requested to follow up on local websites and media. You will need also to spend time with the Value Chain business team and with the Retailer Network team to get a broader understanding of Value Chain / After Sales in automotive in general and at Toyota in specific.
The result of the internship should be a clear and comprehensive view & report on local VC marketing and a framework to visualise take-up of central marketing material.

We can only accept students with an EEA or Swiss citizenship (not requiring a work permit or visa to be eligible to perform an internship in Belgium)
