Our client is on a mission to digitalize the energy sector and speed up the green energy transition while lowering energy costs for everyone. We are successfully impacting this transition today by providing energy and utility market players with a modular and scalable management software and relevant business and IT services in a long-term partnership approach. In this context, we are looking for a Functional analyst/Product owner.

Responsibilities

You will be an essential member of our product team, working closely with other Product managers and collaborating with the Middleware Java Engineers within the broader 40-person team developing our ERP product suite. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation, ensuring that integration solutions align with the overall product vision. Your work will help our clients integrate our solution faster in a scalable way and therefore provide value to their end-user earlier.

Your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Defining product vision and strategy by setting the overall vision for your product, considering market trends, customer needs, and business goals
  • Process Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of end-to-end business and technical processes to identify data flows between applications and determine triggers for these exchanges.
  • Gather and Document Requirements: Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify, analyze, and document business requirements and integration flows for integrations within our ERP solution. Maintain up-to-date documentation reflecting ongoing discussions and decisions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate discussions between stakeholders to clarify and validate business requirements, ensuring a shared understanding of integration needs.
  • User Adoption: Organize demonstrations for end-users and gather feedback for continuous improvements. Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) with clients and the engineering team. Support definition of test scenarios to ensure solutions meet expectations.
  • Providing leadership and guidance, acting as a subject matter expert, and advocating for the product’s vision while making critical decisions to resolve conflicts that may arise.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a product management role, demonstrating successful experience in software development processes and product lifecycle management, functional and technical analysis.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex business processes and translate them into clear technical requirements.
  • Proficiency in using product management tools such as (JIRA, ProductBoard, Confluence, Mermaid, diagrams.net, etc.) is preferred to help manage product backlogs, track progress, and facilitate effective collaboration
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, internally and externally in a client-supplier relationship.
  • Proven relevant technical skills, including agile methodology knowledge (such as SCRUM), data analysis, technical writing, A/B testing, and programming basics

Additional Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the energy market and utilities, including their specific business processes and integration challenges.
  • Experience with enterprise integration patterns (EIP) and message-oriented middleware (MOM).
  • Technical knowledge about API and technical specifications such as OpenAPI, JSON Schema, tools such as Swagger, Postman, WSDL, XSD schema but also protocols like REST, SOAP, SFTP,...
  • Proficiency in modeling tools such as BPMN, UML, or equivalent, with an ability to effectively analyze and represent business processes and system architectures
  • Adaptability and flexibility: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative environment
  • Empathy and user-centric mindset: you understand user needs, pain points, and behaviors to create products that provide value and deliver a positive customer experience
  • Fluency in French, both written and spoken.
  • Professional working proficiency in English
