Java Architect

The consultant will mainly perform development activity. Through his high-level expertise, he could be requested to perform or provide his input regarding software architecture solutions. He is also expected to be able to support other software developers when they would need support in Java software development (Spring, Spring Security, Open ID Connect …). His agile mind set will contribute to improving the agility of the team.

Tasks

• Development, maintenance and evolutive changes for Java applications
• Develop REST APIs using Java frameworks for integrating various systems
• Review, test and debug existing code
• Configuration and management of infrastructure
• Document different development phases
• Assistance to other team members in development, testing, configuration, documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting

Education and technical experience

• Level of education corresponding to a master’s level or 5 years of higher education
• A minimum number of years of professional experience of 11 years (or 15 in case of bachelor)
• 10+ years expertise working in back-end web development
• Capability to write clear and structured technical documents;
• Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, good communication skills;
• Exceptional problem solving and ability to work independently
• Exceptional learning skills
• Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment.

Specific expertise

Software Development programme

• Excellent knowledge of Java Development and core open source technologies (> 10 years’ experience)
• Excellent knowledge of Spring Framework (Core, Web, Data, Spring Boot, Spring Batch (> 5 years’ experience))
• Excellent knowledge of Java ORM Frameworks (JPA, Eclipselink, Hibernate (> 5 years’ experience))
• Strong expertise experience with Java security (Spring Oauth2, OpenID Connect, Spring Security, Java security (> 5 years’ experience))
• Development and maintenance of different front-end components using Angular, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, XML, JSON

Service-oriented architecture (experience in years)

• Strong experience with REST APIs (> 5 years’ experience)

Testing skills

• Strong knowledge of testing frameworks: JUnit, Mockito (> 8 years’ experience), Protractor or equivalent (> 3 years’ experience)
• Test automation: Selenium, Cucumber or equivalent (> 2 years’ experience)

Database

• SQL (> 8 years’ experience);
• Oracle DB (> 8 years’ experience), MySQL;

Web Application Servers

• Strong knowledge of Oracle Weblogic Server (> 8 years’ experience);
• Tomcat (> 5 years’ experience)

Cloud expertise

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (> 3 years’ experience).
