For the European Chemicals division based in Ghent, we are looking for a lab associate with a focus on our plastic additives industry.

As a Lab Associate, you are responsible for developing plastics and color formulations for a range of applications in engineering plastics. You perform various tests for injection moulding, extrusion, compounding and other physical tests. Reporting on the performed tests and measurements and communicating the results to the TS& D Engineers are also part of your job. In this role you report to the Lab Manager.

Profile
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant direction (lab technics, (bio)chemistry) and you have a first experience in a similar job within a lab or quality control division.
  • Experience in masterbatch or compounding industry is a plus.
  • You work accurately and have strong analytical thinking skills.
  • You are very result driven and you like to work on projects.
  • You are a real team player.
  • You have the necessary maturity and strong communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of excel and powerpoint.
  • Besides a good knowledge of Dutch, you are also fluent in English.
