• Support the activities related to the tuning, evaluation, validation and certification of products from New Energies research & development projects in the field of High Pressure Systems
• Lead the means improvement projects of the Laboratory. Identify improvement opportunities in terms of process and equipment and lead the projects of implementation.
• Being the technical reference of Hydrogen & Gas testing responsible in the lab.
• Guarantee the satisfaction of the projects
• Guarantee the 0 accident
• Participate to the know-how capitalization in Laboratory competences
  

• Proposes and defines best test methodology, provide advices and defining validation tests
• Follows external laboratories in case of test externalization (except for certification purpose)
• Manages the technical assistance (TA) in his field of expertize
• Leads technicians and schedule the tasks related to working requests and validation plan tests and takes part to the realization of tests when necessary
• Maintains the status of hydrogen testing means by planning maintenance and anticipating future needs
• Defines and specifies new means in his/her fields of competencies
• Reviews or writes test reports relative to gas and or material tests
• Participates to 8D or any other kind of analysis of non-compliant tests
  

• Work in close collaboration with Validation engineer, Laboratory Engineer and Technicians of the laboratory to identify the future testing needs in the field of HPV.
• Propose improvements of existing process, methodology or equipment in order to satisfy the needs evolution of internal customers and maximize testing capacities.
• Identify potential investments to maximize the number of tests internally performed compared to the externalized tests.
• Coordinate the specifications definition of potential new means.
• Benchmark suppliers to propose best testing solution for the lab.
• Select most suitable solution in terms of costs / specification conformity / safety
• Manage implementation projects in collaboration with suppliers, laboratory researchers, purchasing, QHSE and facility management until complete commissioning of installation.
  

• Brings his/her knowledge and expertise to the research & development projects following needs
• Contributes to the definition of validation tools used by the Laboratory team
• Creates his/her network in the field of High Pressure Systems testing, especially in gas tests (H2 & CNG)
  

• Takes into account the safety risks, especially those linked to hydrogen, in the definition and the realization of validation tests
• Participates to the actions defined by the laboratory manager and HSE responsible
• Respects all safety rules and behaves according to the target of 0 accident
  

• Engineering degree or equivalent (experience), preferably in mechanics, electro-mechanics, chemical engineering or chemistry
• > 3 years of experience in similar position
  

• Experiences in: Chemical engineering, Lab testing, Gas management (risks, behaviors …), High pressures management (hydraulic & pneumatic) and testing, usage of hydrogen.
• Software: MS Office; PLC programing, Diadem, Labview are a plus
• Good knowledge of fluid & gas mechanics, thermodynamics, materials properties and testing, permeation
• Fluent in French and English; German is a plus
