JOB SUMMARY
The Logistics Associate is an active contributor to the daily operations on the Sint-Niklaas site. This includes
warehousing activities (order picking, goods receiving, system transactions, packaging), international
shipping, customs formalities and providing logistics support to our on-site Production team.


RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Having a good understanding of Logistics processes and tasks: Apply the correct processes,
maintain a clean and safe work environment, and identify and implement process improvements.
Being backup for the Team Lead to cover holiday, sickness, and peak periods.

2. Supporting planned Metals revenue: daily follow up of any open orders, keep backlog to a minimum
and ensure on time shipping/delivery. Book and follow-up on transport requirements. Ensure all
necessary export (customs) clearances are obtained and support/execute export-controlled
shipments.

3. Delivering on-site support to the printer Production team: Process the on-site goods receiving and
order picking requests diligently and in a timely manner. Facilitate any ad hoc requests for logistics
support.

4. Warehousing and inventory integrity: follow-up on receiving issues and customer RMA returns,
perform regular checks on the inventory and perform weekly cycle counts and end-of-year physical
inventory count.

PROFILE
• 5+ years’ experience as a Logistics Associate
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English (spoken and written)
  • Experience with inventory management, international shipping and transportation, trade
compliance and customs clearance is a must
  • Knowledge of storage and shipment of dangerous goods (IATA, IMDG, ADR) is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of lean management is a plus (Lean, Six sigma, continuous improvement, 5S, etc)
  • Good with MS Office applications (Excel and Word)
  • Ability to complete tasks independently and to a high standard
  • A strong team player
  • Resourceful and pragmatic/practical
  • Result driven and hands-on mentality
