Job Purpose and Impact

The Manager Transportation & Logistics, Cocoa and Chocolate Europe, supports the development of an integrated, customer-driven Cocoa & Chocolate Europe supply chain and owns the transportation & logistics processes on customer deliveries. In this role, you will direct and run the activities of a functional T&L team who evaluates distribution and transportation operations, provide leadership oversight, lead budget and resource management, monitor strategy compliance, develop new growth opportunities in various different departments and manage mid- to senior level relationships with key vendors. We are looking for candidates living currently in the Netherlands or Belgium with working location at the Schiphol or Mouscron office.

Key Accountabilities
  • Design and implement warehouse strategy for Cocoa & Chocolate Europe
  • Responsible for freight P&L and translate leakage insight to action in collaboration with BTL analyst and pricing specialist
  • Direct the activities of coordinators for containers, land transportation and warehousing on mid- and long term capacity forecasting.
  • Direct the execution on short-term transport planning and continuous improvement of T&L processes.
  • Lead, advise and make decisions on all major logistics and transportation activities.
  • Oversee the assignments to be completed and identify long range goals and priorities.
  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in other BOSC functions to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.
  • Partner with transportation and logistics sourcing teams within the countries to assist in contract and rate negotiations within different modes of transport and develop and maintain relationships with service providers, carriers and brokers.
  • Integrate market intelligence from operating entities, distribution, transportation, suppliers and customers to continuously improve competition plans.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience
  • Other minimum qualifications may apply
  • Three years of experience leading a team
  • English with extra language skills in Dutch, French or both
