Your role at Baxter:
As a Medical Science Liaison, you will be a field-based member of the Medical Affairs team and cover the Benelux region.

You will develop professional relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) in core therapeutic areas of Baxter and will participate in training sessions, deliver clinical/scientific presentations, attend medical congresses and company-sponsored scientific symposia. You will be part of the Regional Medical Affairs teams and be a key partner of several country/region functions (such as Marketing, Sales, Regulatory Affairs, Patient Access, Compliance and Legal) to provide medical-scientific and strategic input into country/cluster strategic teams.

You will play a strategic role in key thought leader communication and collaboration and put the patient at the center of everything you do while acting in the spirit of highest ethical principles.

What are your responsibilities?

  • Identify and engage with KOLs, establishing relationships to build awareness, proper use and investigate new uses of Baxter’s products
  • Identify investigator-initiated research (IIR) opportunities and act as the primary point of contact throughout.
  • Assist in development of advisory boards, symposia, and publication planning
  • Support the Regional Medical Director to develop appropriate strategic and tactical plans
  • Provide accurate medical and scientific education to customers proactively
We are presently seeking people who have:

  • Excellent scientific background to disseminate and discuss scientific evidence and complex medical information, with proven Medical Science Liaison experience (2 years)
  • PHD qualification in medical/natural science.
  • Excellent customer approach with ability to quickly build strong and reliable relationships including with key opinion leaders.
  • Proven presentation and teaching capabilities; and understanding of adult learning concepts
  • Comprehension of relevant clinical and regulatory requirements including ideally GCP
  • Effective interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Fluency in Dutch and English required
