D¿Ieteren Automotive is the Belgian importer and distributor of Volkswagen group brands, with a yearly volume of 120.000 cars sold. Being clear market leader in its core, new car market, the group has major ambitions to conquer its fair share in the used car market both at retail level - through its labels MyWay and Audi Approved+, and at wholesale level - through MyWay PRO.

About MyWay (PRO)

We are a subsidiary of D¿Ieteren Automotive, active in used cars in Belgium and internationally. Our objective is to become the undisputed market leader in Belgium through a used car sales model that combines online channels with a national franchise network.

Within the group, we have two business units:

• MyWay PRO , our B2B brand, is active in used car trading both in Belgium and internationally. Our objective is to source quality used cars across Europe from a varied range of channels and partners and sell them through our official channels: MyWay, Audi Approved+ and Lizy, as well as MyWay PRO¿s European network of B2B car dealers.
• MyWay , our retail (B2C) brand, is our promise to the end-customer. Through MyWay we market used cars in Belgium through a combination of digital channels and a physical franchise network of 100+ distribution points across the country.

Role

Our Online Auction Purchaser, will be constantly working on the Online platforms that are existing in Europe in order to close deals. If you are driven, autonomous, online auctions have no secrets for you and confident in taking decisions you might be the person we need.

In your quest as Online Auction Purchaser, you will need to make important decisions quickly and autonomously. Essentially, you will be responsible for understanding which models are attractive in our core markets, identify attractive buying opportunities and negotiate best prices.

You will thoroughly analyze offers, supported by our leading data market intelligence system in order to have a complete information about model attractiveness, pricing and buying trends, allowing you to take best decisions. You will align on a regular basis with the Purchase Team leader to inform him about the opportunities , market movements and general feel of the market.

We are looking for an experienced Online Auction Purchaser , who is digitally savvy, with a proven track record and high ethical standards and with a passion for the automotive industry. The profile can be based in Belgium or other EU countries with a developed used-car market.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and finding all the Online Platforms in Europe
• Analyzing purchasing offers and trading opportunities
• Using our leading market intelligence systems to support your decisions
• Regularly connecting with our Purchase manager
• Negotiating and close transactions
• Be fully accountable for the margin results of the deals you closed

Profil

• A minimum of 5 years¿ experience in a relevant function: purchaser in the automotive industry
• An established network of important European Online auction platforms
• Deep knowledge of the automotive industry, key market players and trends
• Hands-on experience with the different brands that offer cars /LCV models, specifications and prices.
• High attention to details in analyzing the online Auctions for attractive opportunities
• Assertive negotiator
• Organized and structured in your ways of working
• Digital savvy and data-driven, able to work easily with market intelligence systems
• Ability to work under pressure and take important decisions autonomously
• Ready to commit part of your revenues to your trading performance
• Fluent in English, with Dutch, French, German or other European language being a plus
