The Opportunity

At Cochlear, our mission is to help people hear and be heard. A temporary position has opened up at Cochlear Academy EMEA, located in Mechelen. Cochlear Academy offers high quality learning experiences in the areas of professional and consumer education across EMEA. As part of the operational team, the Operational Assistant Cochlear Academywill provide support for a wide range of tasks in administration, finance and event support. The person will work on site in Mechelen. This temporary position will be for six months and will be fulltime, though part time is open for discussion.

Your responsibilities will include.

  • Providing administrative support within the Cochlear Academy team
  • Supporting common organizational and administrative marketing tasks
  • Monitoring emails and allocating them to the right person
  • Providing first line support for LMS (Learning Management System) requests
  • Escalating LMS requests to second line support where applicable
  • Maintaining and editing as required Cochlear Academy intranet (Sharepoint) site content and structure
  • Helping organize formal internal and external company meetings and events
  • Organizing conference/meeting room bookings
  • Being the point of contact on site for all operational questions for the duration of the event
  • Providing support for financial administration

About You:

Minimum:

  • Knowledge of administration or trainings in areas linked to reception, general administration and/or services (time management, software packages, business writing, etc.)
  • Min. 2 years working in a customer focused environment performing administrative tasks
  • MS Office Suite, Email / Communication programs / Internet
  • Use of hardware (e.g. beamers, sound systems, etc)
  • Organizational Skills: The position must administer a range of topics/activities in parallel
  • Communication/ Interpersonal Skills: The position is in regular contact with customers, visitors, suppliers, etc
  • Reliability: The position holder will be trusted to perform independently and has to be flexible according to business needs
  • Team Cooperation: The position acts in an interface function and has to coordinate with all staff members on a regular basis
  • Discretion: The position may have access to sensitive and confidential information and must hold that information in strict confidence
  • English (fluent written and spoken)
  • Dutch (fluent written and spoken)
