Operations Manager – AV Branch Operations (Ghent, Belgium)

The Opportunity

A fantastic leadership opportunity to head up European operations for a rapidly growing UK-based AV rental and production company. Based in Ghent, you’ll play a critical role in launching and managing the operational foundation of the company’s expansion into mainland Europe.

This is a hands-on and strategic role focused on operational efficiency, team building, logistics, and service delivery excellence to support equipment hire, international projects, and client success across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and manage all operational aspects of the new Ghent branch, including facility readiness and process implementation
  • Lead day-to-day operations covering logistics, transport, warehousing, and support functions
  • Coordinate European-wide logistics for AV equipment, including dry-hire dispatch and returns
  • Build and manage operational teams, including logistics, technical prep, and customer support staff
  • Implement and maintain SOPs to ensure quality control, efficient workflows, and equipment reliability
  • Manage inventory systems, shipping documentation, scheduling, and vendor relationships
  • Liaise with UK headquarters on process alignment, reporting, and strategic planning
  • Support business development with operational insights, scalable process improvements, and client delivery strategies

Ideal Candidate

We’re seeking a proactive operations leader with:

  • Proven experience in operations management, logistics coordination, or branch setup (ideally in AV or technical services)
  • Strong understanding of equipment flow, warehousing best practices, and supply chain logistics
  • Leadership experience, including team recruitment, training, and performance management
  • Excellent organisational and process development skills
  • Familiarity with audio, video, and staging equipment (a plus, but operations expertise is key)
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Fluent English required; Dutch or French highly desirable
  • Located in (or willing to relocate to) the Ghent area
